Our Story

Born from love for a long dog.

House of Tekel started with a simple frustration — beautiful little dogs squeezed into clothes that didn't fit, bunching at the chest and gaping at the back. So we started over. From scratch. With dachshunds in mind from the first stitch.

The beginning

A breed apart deserves fashion apart.

The dachshund — or Teckel, as they're known in Romanian — is no ordinary dog. Their silhouette is immediately recognisable: long, low, proud. They walk into a room like they own it. And yet, the pet fashion industry has largely ignored their unique anatomy.

We decided that had to change. House of Tekel was founded on the belief that dachshunds deserve clothing that fits, flatters, and reflects their outsized personality. Every pattern we create starts with measurements taken directly from dachshunds — miniature and standard — not from scaled-down versions of larger dog cuts.

"The longest runway belongs to the longest dog."

Our collections are small, intentional, and made to last. We'd rather make fifty pieces perfectly than five hundred pieces mediocrely. That's the House of Tekel promise.

What we stand for

Our Values

01

Fit First

Every piece is patterned from dachshund anatomy. Comfort comes before everything — including aesthetics.

02

Small Batches

We produce in limited quantities to maintain quality and reduce waste. When it's gone, it's gone — and that's intentional.

03

Community First

House of Tekel exists because of dachshund owners. Every decision is made with our community — the Long Dog Society — in mind.
